Mal Mixing

Mal (Steven Mallinder) came round yesterday to work on an idea for a Wrangler remix of Shatterproof (by John Foxx and The Maths). Mal co-founded Caberet Voltaire in 1973, and they are one of my favorite electronic bands ever. We had a great day playing with the VP330 vocoder and the Linn

  6. Mal & Foxx together on stage, I'd give a few limbs to see that.

  7. I've waited for this mix to get released and I just got my copy in the mail. The original "Shatterproof" reminded me a lot of Cab Volt and the remix is amazing. Welcome back, Mal! Actually, you would have a hard time convincing me that "Spirius" isn't a track that would have been on the EP included with "The Crackdown!" But with added Foxx!!! Profuse thanks on the two best albums of the year, and in a year that also features Magazine's new album, this is quite a statement! 2011 was definitely the year of John Foxx + The Maths. What you are doing together is spellbinding! Will you tour The States in 2012? I made do with Tara Busch at Moogfest 2011 last year but after 32 years of fandom, I need that first John Foxx concert before I'm retirement age!
