I've been look at buying an early PC to run my Synergy software from. It actually uses a Kaypro from the early 1980s for this task, and ebay has been very helpful. While reading up on the subject I found a good site that lists all the early systems in chronological order (oldcomputers.net). I find these things very attractive to look at.
