Stringy


I finally found a Yamaha SS30 string machine on ebay (for a very reasonable price) and went to pick it up from Maidstone in Kent. Hello Niall! I love this machine, and agree with Peter Forrest, it is up there with the best string machines ever made

    The SS 30 is all over Midge Ure's solo projects from 1981-84. Do I sense a shifting in Ultravox lead vocalist allegiances? (Foxxy was always an Arp man . . .)

    Hi, great project but nerveracking! Did you get the service manual or at least a schematic? Would be interesting to compare with other string synths!
