Assassination

I was listening to Gary Numans 6th album (made in 1982) and realised that all the intros are really good. I mean the whole album is good, but theres something particularly atmospheric and cool about all the intros, before the band kicks in. I would love to make an album that just sounds like this (below is an edit I made)

  5. drumtraks not 82 ?
just reminded me of many months programming the Tom (never managed to get my mitts near a Linn, sadly) - the handclap sounds just like that.
    Either way sounds good regardless.

  7. if you find one, try to get as many ROM cartridges as you can. It's a machine with a few quirks - 4 note polyphony meaning you can 'stack' the sound on top of itself - same tuning gives you a flangey type sound but you can have the same sound at different pitches / volumes. You can also 'clip' the sound if you use step mode to 128 beats per bar by sticking the same sound with no volume on note 2. - The detuned bass drum at -16 &-15 can sound like a motor / engine running. A great machine, so great that the people I bought it off bought it back and threw in a modified 606 with seperate outs (which they then bought back). It also triggers the Pro-1's internal sequencer beautifully.
